The Farmer and the Dale

Dale has always wanted to drive and operate a backhoe (he's a construction worker at heart), so for his birthday I posted an add on Craigslist for anyone who might have a backhoe and some land we could come dig up for fun. A lady out in McKinney who owns a horse boarding facility responded to my add and said we could come out and "play" for a day.
The lady's husband gave Dale a quick lesson on the backhoe and then let him drive around for a bit.
They got all set up to dig up some old stumps in the ground, and then...the hydraulics broke, so Dale never got to dig:( He said he had fun anyway.
The guy also had a nice John Deere tractor that he let Dale drive around and break up horse poo.

This is Duke, one of the McKinney Police horses that boards at this guy's facility. He was such a beautiful and huge horse. I wanted to take him home with us!
